Today we visited the young man who was brutally beaten in his apartment in Belgrade on the night between January 15 and 16.

The motive for the attack was his sexual orientation. We provided him with support and offered legal, psychological, and other assistance.

Da se zna! strongly condemns this homophobic act of violence and urges the Prosecutor’s
Office to urgently prosecute the attacker and, in classifying the criminal offense, apply Article
54a of the Criminal Code so that the act is recognized as a hate crime.

We will continue to monitor the case and stand by the young man in his fight for justice!
