Mapping Cases of Homophobic and Transphobic Hate Crimes in Serbia

Project description: The project aims to collect and document hate crimes motivated by homophobia and transphobia through a secure online portal www.dasezna.lgbt, using open-source software Martus for safely recording human rights violations. The collected data serves Da se zna!, as well as other LGBTI and human rights organizations, as a basis for community work, advocacy activities, and improving protection against violence. The project was implemented over 12 months and represents one of the first systematic attempts to map these forms of violence in Serbia.
