Project description: The project aims to improve the protection of LGBT+ rights in Serbia, reduce violence and discrimination motivated by homophobia and transphobia, and strengthen support and safe spaces for community members through legal, psychological, and advocacy support. During the project implementation, 147 incidents motivated by homophobia and transphobia were recorded, legal support was provided to 17 survivors, and psychological support was organized through 100 therapy hours and online consultations for 382 people. Complaints, criminal charges, and lawsuits for discrimination were submitted, while two annual reports and a police handbook for working with queer persons were published. Fifteen crowdfunding events “Solidarity Tuesday” were organized with over 750 participants, including public figures, raising funds to support vulnerable queer persons. Nine strategic documents were developed, and two key strategic plans were revised, further strengthening the organizational capacities and culture of Da se zna!.
