Matija Stefanović Represents Da se zna! at Council of Europe Office Meeting in Belgrade

This week, our Matija Stefanović, together with representatives of other NGOs, represented Da
se zna! at a meeting of the Council of Europe Office in Belgrade, specifically the departments
for Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, Gender Expression, and Sex Characteristics
(SOGIESC) and for Anti-Discrimination Cooperation (ADCU).

The meeting was held ahead of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and
Transphobia (IDAHOT). Discussions were held with Janos Babiti, Head of the Office, and
Evgenia Giakamopulu, Head of the SOGIESC Department, focusing on current developments in
Serbia and potential next steps in combating homo- and transphobia. The recently adopted and
upcoming Council of Europe policies on SOGIESC were also presented.
