Matija is in terms of formal education a professor of Serbian literature and language. He has been part of the Association Da se zna! team since November 2021, where he manages program and project activities.

He began his activist work a few years ago as coordinator of the Pride Info Center, and he is also one of the founders of the Talas TIRV collective. His activism extends to media appearances, where he speaks about the position of trans and other queer people, as well as his own identity as a trans man, believing that visibility and claiming public space are key to normalizing the existence of queer people in society. For this reason, he is deeply committed to organizing Belgrade Pride.

His activist work also includes his role in the theater play “Before We Begin”, produced by Heartefact, as well as numerous authored texts, among which he particularly highlights his article for Vogue Adria on the position of trans people in the labor market.
